Once students learn the basic skills, how do we know that they can apply them in the real world—especially inlow-resource situations, such as following natural or man-made disasters?

The Niswonger VILLAGE (Virtual International Living and Learning Across Global Environments) at the ETSU EastmanValleybrook Campus is a public health“simulation lab” that replicates how people live and work in low-resource settings.

Using role playing, “case studies,” and simulated scenarios, students face “real-world”challenges, and gain confidence in their ability to make a difference in the lives ofother people.
