Application Process

• Students self-nominate using the Unified Application
• Once completed, links will automatically be sent for next steps to the student

Notes

• Counsellors who wish to nominate a student first may still do so
• This is not required starting for the 2026 program
• If nominated, there will be an extra step for counsellors to complete after the nomination

An application is complete once the following are complete and submitted by the deadline:

1) TN Governor's Schools 2026 Unified Application (Student Info, Selected GS Programs, Parent/Guardian Assurances)

2) TN Governor's School Counselor and Recommender Information (Student Achievement Form)

3) 2026 Governor's Schools of Tennessee Confidential Teacher Recommendation - Science Teacher

4) 2026 Governor's Schools of Tennessee Confidential Teacher Recommendation - Math Teacher

5) Governor's School for the Integration of Biological and Statistical Sciences (IB&SS) - Specific Application (Student Info, Resume, & Essay)
