The 护理学生成功计划 includes targeted nursing-specific support services. Currently, this initiative is geared for undergraduate nursing students across BSN tracks with a focus on adjusting to nursing school, promoting success through the curriculum, and fostering the “culture of caring” in the 护理学院.

• 同伴指导

  Peer mentors are currently enrolled nursing student volunteers who lend support, a listening ear, and encouragement to fellow students in different semesters. Any student beyond the first semester can serve as a Peer Mentor. Peer mentors are recognized for their leadership at the 护理学院 Pinning and Hooding Ceremony.

• 同侪教导

  Peer tutors are currently enrolled graduate nursing students or currently enrolled undergraduate students who demonstrated excellence in mastery of difficult content. Tutoring is offered for most major nursing courses. The resource is free and is easily scheduled through the Center for Academic Achievement (CFAA).

• 补充说明（SI）

  补充说明（SI） is an evidence-based, student-led method of engaging students differently in traditionally difficult content to foster the ability to think critically and apply material effectively. In the 护理学院, SI is provided for Pathophysiology and Pharmacology. SI Leaders are experienced nursing students who demonstrated mastery in pathophysiology and/or pharmacology. On-ground SI sessions are held weekly on the main campus for Traditional/Accelerated BSN students and weekly online sessions are being held for both Traditional and LPN-to-BSN students.

• 护理学生成功中心计划

  Re-vitalization of a physical space in the 护理学院 designated for nursing student success is in the works! This Center will serve as the hub for the three major programs, allowing nursing students a place to gather for peer mentoring activities, peer tutoring sessions, and SI sessions.
